The Akshardham Spotlight series was an ambitious undertaking that documented the grand opening of the BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham in Robbinsville, New Jersey. With 18 episodes released over a span of 10 weeks, the series captured the spiritual ceremonies, cultural festivities, and monumental significance of the event. This project was a massive collaboration, requiring a team of 10 members working across various stages of production—from conceptualization to final release.
From the outset, meticulous planning was crucial. We devised a structured content calendar to ensure each episode aligned with the unfolding events at Akshardham. With tight deadlines, we maintained an efficient workflow that covered pre-production, on-site filming, post-production, and distribution. The team worked in a fast-paced environment, often editing footage overnight to meet publishing schedules.
Each episode was televised and uploaded to YouTube, allowing a global audience to witness the once-in-a-lifetime celebrations. The response was overwhelming, amassing 500,000+ global viewers and generating significant engagement. The series not only documented history but also deepened viewer connection with the event, leading to an 810-minute content archive that will serve as a lasting digital record.
